The Selkie Corset
Size Guide

DESCRIPTION
The Selkie Corset is a contemporary reiteration of early Edwardian corsets. These underbust corsets are made with a cream linen exterior and a fine cotton lining sourced from antique fabrics and sheets. They are boned using Rigilene (currently making the transition to reed boning) and are flossed alongside the bottom edge using embroidery thread.
*Note, your customized corset will be made using a silver metal busk to enclose the front, rather than a series of hook and eyes shown in the photos. Images of the busk can be seen here.
*Sew-to-Order Basis
As these corsets are specially made for each customer, please allow 4-6 weeks for your piece to arrive via mail.
MATERIALS
Lining - Cotton
Outershell - Linen
Embroidery thread - Cotton & Pollyester
Boning Channels - Cotton Herringbone Tape
Boning - Rigilene plastic (transitioning to reed boning)
CARE
Corsets should be hand-washed only. It is recommended to wash them as little as possible. Be sure to remove the lacing when cleaning is needed. You may spot clean using a damp sponge or cloth and and a small amount of gentle, naturally-sourced detergent. Air-dry your corset on a hanger or chair with lining faced outwards.
**Most, if not all, packaging and shipping materials are plastic free. Any plastic materials included in the shipment of these pieces are repurposed and/or thrifted. Instructions on how to properly dispose of the packaging will be included.
